As a symbolic gesture, GIBS Social Foundation Trust (GSF) organized a “Bangalore Plantation Day” on 24th April 2016 at Vijaynagar, Bangalore. The day began with #planting of saplings by Mr. Ritesh Goyal- GIBS Chairman, 70+ Volunteers, #students from various colleges, #Corporates& #volunteers of WeRiseforHer in association with World Merit to emphasize the importance of planting new trees, aimed at fostering green practices and protecting the ones already growing around us.
Mr. Ritesh Goyal. Added, “That the idea of setting aside a day to #plant#trees as it plays an important role in spreading #environmental#awareness among students and communities mobilizing their participation in environment related #activities as it is the way to learn how to protect the environment through green revolution and also insists the importance of caring our world for Green & #healthy environment”. Thus GSF Raised awareness about care and preservation of environment, thus fulfilling their #responsibility towards #society.
Apart from the event, a closed-circle fund raising activity was carried out by volunteers & fostered a sense of team spirit and also inculcate in the youth, the importance of a green city. #GSF #WorldMerit #WeRiseForHer
