Am I Eligible for MBA Program?

If you are one of those raring to join a Top Business School to enroll in the much sought-after MBA, then you must follow certain tricks of trade to jump into the bandwagon.
When deciding where to go, there is a clear-cut formula. While targeting B-schools, make sure the companies you want to work for recruit from the B – schools you are looking to attend.
Most  B- schools have deadlines. Experts recommend taking the Entrance Exams as early as May the previous year, so you have time improve your score by the application deadline. The only universal requirement for any MBA program in India is for the candidate to have finished their graduation with aggregate of 50%. Students have to clear an entrance exam such as MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT or State Level Entrance Exam which are conducted round the year to get admitted into this course. The score in the entrance exam is also used to establish the minimum level of proficiency expected from a candidate in respective faculties. Most colleges have an online application option on their web portal.
Many applicants have a wrong notion on the essays required by most schools. They think admissions officers want a certain type of candidate and tailor their essays to that image. That results in dull and uninteresting essays that are stereotypes and does not impress the evaluator in anyway. Talk about failures. Admission officers know that no one is perfect and failure is the stepping stone to success. They would love to know how you rose from failure and how you were able to turn the sourest lemons into delicious lemonades.
For example, James thought that writing an essay on finance would fetch him a better score than writing about his experience on esoteric sciences during his visit to India. Fortunately, his trainer suggested that he write about his real-life experience in India, and about the trials and tribulations he faced during the process of learning this forgotten art. James landed in one of the top five B-schools.
MBA from a Top B school like GIBS Business School will open your horizon to a plethora of opportunities, and give you a direction to work upon. Finally, follow up appropriately and keep in touch with admission officers of the B- Schools so that they know you’re interested.
